Day 2 (lock down)

Tuesday 25th March - bike **** - Landguard – Sunny.

Day 2 of Lock down UK in these very worrying times and both Mag and I are nervous of going out as the death rate continues to rise including young people too:( Still if there is any plus in any of this the fantastic weather continues, so a nice morning at home, doing my exercises in the garden followed by reading and taking some pics as the sky is such an amazing blue:) I was joined later on by Mag doing some gardening and is trying to break her day into hour sessions of various activities. She had already been on her early morning walk along the prom with everyone giving each other a wide berth. She had a treat this morning when she spotted a young seal resting on the beach:) As it was such a nice day, I thought it would be nice to take a sandwich out on our bikes for our days exercise. We decided on going to Landguard where the River Orwell enters the sea. As the prom was pretty quiet, we biked to the end, then through the reserve with loads of bunnies out, they must have noticed a distinct lack of dog walkers at the moment! We sat on the old wooden pier and enjoyed our yummy, cheese, marmite and crisp sandwich, us pensioners know how to live and the problems of the world seemed pretty distant for a few minutes in the lovely scenery and even better weather! Then home in tea for a cuppa and cake, a much shorter ride today only 5 miles but great to be out in the sun for an hour! Not missing the windsurfing at the moment but its early days, give it a few windy and mild days and I might start climbing the walls!
